A Marine Engineer Artificer is an appointment held by a Naval officer who is skilled at working on electronic, electrical, electro-mechanical and/or mechanical devices.
As a Nigerian Navy Marine Engineer Artificer, you will be working on everything from the ship’s hull and engines to its electrical, fuel, hydraulic and firefighting systems.
You may also be trained to make spare parts and other vital components in the ship’s well-equipped workshops.
What rank is Marine Engineer Artificer in Nigerian Navy?
The rank of a Nigerian Navy Marine Engineer Artificer immediately after recruitment is “Ordinary Rating”.
It is the first non-commissioned rank that successful recruits obtain after passing out of the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School (NNBTS).
