Is AKSU Admission list for 2023 academic session out?

No, Akwa Ibom State University, (AKSU) Ikot Akpadem, has not yet released it’s provisional admission list for candidates who participated in the Post UTME screening exercise for 2023 academic session.

AKSU Admission Requirements for UTME/Direct Entry

All candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for admission into AKSU;

  • Minimum of Credit passes in Five (5) subjects including English Language at SSCE, GCE O’Level and any other equivalent examinations.
  • UTME scores of at least 180 and above (subject to change).
  • Post-UTME screening score of not less than 180 (subject to change).
  • In addition to the above, candidates must make Akwa Ibom State University 1st choice to qualify to write the Post-UTME Screening Test.
  • Candidates who score less than 180 at the Post-UTME screening test are not eligible for admission into any programme in AKSU irrespective of any higher scores obtained at UTME.
  • For final selection into programmes, the candidate’s average scores from the UTME and Post-UTME screening Tests are used.
  • The cut-off point for admission varies from one programmed to another.

For Direct Entry;

  • Minimum of credit passes in five subjects including English Language at SSCE, GCE O’Level or equivalent qualification.
  • Either A’ levels, OND or NCE in relevant subject areas.
  • An acceptable score in the Direct Entry Screening Exercise.
  • Final selection is based on a combination of the candidate’s certificates and score in the direct entry screening test.

So, if you’ve met all these criteria you need not to worry and just wait for the admission list to be out in due time.

What is the cut-off mark for AKSU Admissions 2023 academic session?

Akwa Ibom State University, (AKSU) Ikot Akpadem, has not yet released various departments cut-off mark for the 2023 academic session.

  • Firstly, Login to your Jamb profile on the Jamb E-facility Portal by entering your “Email” and “Password
  • Secondly, then you scroll down and click on “Check Admission Status
  • Thirdly, then you click on “Access my CAPS
  • Lastly, then click on “Accept or Reject admission”.

Otherwise, Go to the Akwa Ibom State University, (AKSU) Admission Portal at https://aksu.edu.ng/admissions/ to check your names.

Important Note about AKSU admissions 2023

No candidate can be offered admission EXCEPT O’level result(s) have been successfully uploaded on your JAMB CAPS.

If chosen as second choice, it must be changed to first choice University to be considered for admission.

If you see “Admission in Progress” or “Not admitted” in your Jamb Profile, kindly wait for Jamb to upload your name.

Candidates who may be given admission in other departments than the one they applied for should;

Click on “Transfer Approval” to enable your admission to be processed on your Jamb CAPS

And always check back later to “Accept or Reject” Admission.
